Something has awakened in Maya —voices and visions— but her loved ones think she’s suffering a mental breakdown following her husband’s murder, leaving her alone to dig deep within herself in order to fend off a killer coming for her next.

An earlier draft of Maya Rising was named a "Second Rounder" in the 2021 Austin Film Festival Script Competition and a Quarterfinalist in the 2022 Screencraft Horror Competition.  Christine further developed the project as part of the Norman Jewison Film Program Writers' Lab at the Canadian Film Center creating a teaser for the film.
